While indoor environmental quality does not always associate an energy cost savings, it does increase occupant comfort, therefore increasing productivity and staff morale. Indoor environmental quality can be controlled or increased by utilizing higher ratios of filtered outside air, increasing ventilation rates, managing moisture, and controlling the level of off-gassing from indoor products, including cleaning solutions and finishes. Purcell Green will work with the building owner and occupants to evaluate solutions that will provide the most cost effective value.

• Provide increased occupant comfort by incorporating individual heating and cooling controls
   
• Provide low VOC replacement products
   
• Install lighting controls and task lighting at workstations
   
• Provide additional day lighting through windows, interior windows, or skylights
   
• Install bi-polar ionization air purification system to improve indoor air quality

• Install carbon dioxide sensors to alert building manager when build-up occurs

• Provide walk-off mats to reduce the amount of contaminants exposed to building occupants
